After a story in our local news paper about Spurmo I checked out your website - what a laugh I had with your Blog - you are a wonderful writter and if you yourself ever wish to become totally extinct (no I dont wanna kill you - just marry your brain and writting skills) then give me a shout! Till then I look forward to reading your blogs.
Dear Chairman,
I’m proud to be one of the Spurmos in Europe!
I’m interested in to promote the club in Italy where, I think, are many Spurmos!
I’m 46 year old, never married and happy to say that! I love women but no longer then 48/72 hours!
How can I start? Do you have a login or are you thinking about to found an association? Let me know and I’ll be ready to help if necessary.
Warmest Regards.
Filippo
Chairman Spurmo
Why not set up a dating section on the website? I know you are a dying breed and all that but you know…nights in and cuddles are very nice too.

A friend spotted the article in the Times yesterday and claimed to recognise me as a SPURMO. In fact, I’m a well-established SPURMO having been one for 11 years since my divorce at the age of 37. Either I’ve suddenly got a lot better looking than I was when I was younger or the women are getting more desperate. Either way, it’s fantastic ! The only downside is that my friends wives hate me as it’s always me my mates claim to be with when they’re playing away. It means I have to be very careful when a mate’s wife says “how was the fishing last Tuesday ?” in case it’s a trick question. I’m also banned from going on trips with my married mates in case I lead them astray or open their eyes to the possibilities of SPURMOdom. Still, let the feminists think they won, I say. More power to your elbow ! Alex
Hey. love the website, going to give it a link on mine. if you want to link my website on yours that would be rad. I’m glad I’ve found a support group of Spurmo brothers!
Love your site…. Well done.
But as you know, there are a lot of single women out there and we still have the chance to have fun with them!
regards DB (age 35 1/2)
To Mr.Chairman,
As a junior SPURMO (33 years old), I’d like to commend you on finally summarizing in words what it feels and means to be a SPURMO. For many years I ran with the pack, strong in our numbers and always on the prowl for fair game and good times. Alas my call for comrades is now unanswered, many have fallen to the married, children, and fatherhood. Once glorious heroes of a gold era I find many of my fellow ex-spurmos now disillusioned. Their once fierce attitudes now tamed by their wives, like a circus lion they roar and lay down on command. They’re bodies now pot-bellied and overweight by endless years of neglect.
We are like the Siberian tigers endangered and few, using what cunning we have left to survive. What few of us that are left fall everyday, but we that are still here live on as monuments to a time when calling it a day meant going to bed at 4:00am, beer flowed like water, dinner meant pizza, and women were plentiful.
I salute you my fellow SPURMO, keep up the good fight.
Stephen Theobald

Yes, I am a fellow SPURMO….I notice that you try to get everyone’s sympathy, yet you and I both know that we are living the life compared with our loser friends who are changing diapers and dying to sleep with their babysitters. I thank the gods every single day for my singledom

Hi lads
I am very proud to be a spurmo from Rome Italy!!!

Saw your site mentioned in a childfree list
When are you going to create a SPUFO or SPURFO link/site etc for females?
July 2nd, 2008 at 10:02 am
Time for a myspace or facebook group. As our numbers shrink time to find new people. You can at least vet them from a safe distance.
July 2nd, 2008 at 10:04 am
I’m a single proud unmarried man over thirty. What I have to do to register myself on your site?
July 2nd, 2008 at 10:05 am
Quite possibly the greatest Spurmo has been missed - Thomas Magnum surely?

Brilliant! Why not create a members section or a forum so Spurmos could meet each other for a blether and a bevvy!
great work by the way!
